Review of Timeless Truth’s Multipeptide Calming Revitalising Facial Beauty Mask

It’s been a little while since I posted my last Timeless Truth Beauty Mask blog and as a big believer and fan of this brand, I wanted to review another product but with a bit of a difference.

I’m sure that I’m not alone in saying, we all hear the word ‘multipeptide’ regularly used on TV beauty product adverts but I’m not sure how many of us really know what this means, myself included, or what indeed they do.

Peptides are naturally occurring biological molecules. They’re short chains of amino acid monomers linked by peptide (amide) bonds, so when we say multipeptide, it basically means several are being combined.

The mask I’m reviewing is Timeless Truth’s Multipeptide Calming Revitalising Facial Beauty Mask.

This mask has several active ingredients that work together to form the multipeptide miricle.

Argireline, also known as Glycerin/Palmitoyol Hexapeptide–12, an anti-ageing ingredient derived from natural proteins. Argireline’s purpose is to decrease the visible signs of ageing by helping to reduce deep wrinkles and fine lines. Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a vitamin like compound found naturally in the energy producing centre of the cell known as the mitochondria. It has the efficacy to prevent many of the detrimental effects of photoageing. CoQ10 is a source of revitalizing energy that repairs and stimulates collagen to increase elasticity. Vitamin E plays a role in encourageing skin healing and reducing scarring after injuries such as burns. It is a powerful antioxidant that protects cells from oxidation, and neutralises unstable free radicals, which can cause damage. Vitamin E is also proven to have great effect for skin treatments, in helping the skin look younger, promoting healing and cutting down the risk of scar tissue forming to slow the ageing process.

To quote the science on the packet:

“This exceptional, Timeless Truth face mask actively restores and revitalises the skin's natural radiance and helps regenerate tissue cells. The pink powder impregnated in the cloth contains negative ions which increase circulation helping to relax facial tension. This firms, but relaxes tense muscle, thereby reducing fine lines and wrinkles and the visible signs of ageing. Designed to effectively provide nourishing moisture to the skin, the skin is left hydrated, soft, and radiant.”

The skin type that this mask is being trialled on is currently calling out for 999 revitalisation so there is no better way to trial a product than on somebody who really needs it. After all, I'm sure we're all fed up of seeing 20 year olds advertising advaned wrinkle cream. Try it on someone who needs it!

Reading the back of the packet before opening, the directions are very clear and easy to follow.

Upon opening the packet, as I always find with Timeless Truth masks, there is such an amazingly generous amount of serum inside. It's so refreshing to see this as a lot of companies get away with using the bare minimum.

The mask is backed with a white film that easily peels off. These masks are a little bit messy to open but I rather like this as it means you get a double treatment, hand and face.

Massaging the serum into your hands from opening the mask out and you instantly feel a cool sensation that quickly turns into a luxury satin feel. I find this mask very distinctive, it's not silk, it's satin and incredibly luxurious.

With the white backing peeled off, you are left with the pink powder enriched cloth mask.

The directions are to place the mask on the face, darker side down. The pink shades on the back and front are easy to differentiate, even with the serum on there.

The mask fits beautifully to the face and although everything is cut out to fit into a particular place, this mask has clearly been designed so that if your shape face isn't that exact cut, you just pull and move different sections around for a comfortable and bespoke fit.

With the mask on, it's time to relax for 15-20 minutes. If like me you find it a little hard to switch off from the working day, I have recently started playing relaxing piano and sea tracks that are very similar to those you hear in a spa treatment room. It just adds a little mental bliss and really enhances the mask experience.

The mask feels cool and soothing throughout the experience and only starts feeling like it's warming up more towards the end, which I presume is how you know it's time to take it off as well.

After removing the mask, you gently massage in the remaining light serum film that's left on your skin. I would suggest doing this from the chin upwards, in swirling motions so that it works along side the treatment to plump your cheeks and lift your jaw line.

The drying time is fast and within 5 minutes, your skin is touchable and is exactly how I described it earlier, a real satin feel to touch!

The results are immediately noticeable and seem to get better as the next hour or so progresses. On the anti-aging side, cheeks are lifted, laughter lines filled in more and an altogether tighter lifted jaw line. Irritated, angry and rough skin looks and feels much smoother and all together soothed.

You could mistake this mask result for first day fillers and I’d be really interested to see how this would work with long time weekly use.

Probably one of the biggest selling points and gold stars I can give this mask is the ‘day after review’. This is where I find you really see what has worked and can I just say.. THIS HAS WORKED! Waking up the next morning, the face and especially cheek/mouth area are looking so full and lifted but without any pillow face. This mask really shows it’s results as the hours go on and I would absolutely recommend it as any beauty box staple, not only for a quick fix if you’re attending an event but also for a weekly way of life.

All in all, yet another amazing winner from Timeless Truth and I cannot wait to see what other packet miracles this company comes out with.
