Louise Bradshaw-Black

I am East Midlands based but work nationally, predominantly in London, Nottingham, Birmingham and Manchester.

I have worked in the fashion industry for 20 years and although I have varied my horizons with various areas of merchandising, management and buying, my overall area of expertise still stays within styling and visual merchandising.

This brief bio is to give an insight into the other industry areas I have worked in as they contribute as a whole to the overall experience, service and package that I offer clients.

I began working with mid-level designer labels in 2003 and moved towards luxury goods in 2005, taking a specific interest in the French label Louis Vuitton (LVMH Group).  My own personal interest in the brand led me to specialise and train in authentication and speciality pieces, which resulted in opening my own company and throughout 2006-2007, I was the largest retailer of pre-owned Louis Vuitton in Europe and towards the end of 2007, the largest outside of Japan and America. During this time I was also MPRS registered, who authenticate for county court cases, eBay and PayPal.

After working in luxury goods, around 2008 I changed direction and went over to styling within the music industry, especially punk and rock bands on both mainstream and independent record labels. I've supplied everyone from Marilyn Manson to Alice Cooper and many other smaller UK bands, for videos, tours and a cinema released concert film that then went onto DVD.

In 2010, I branched back into the mainstream fashion industry and went onto spend a year working with one of the three largest retailers in the UK, specialising in childrenswear, VM and Best Seller placement.  Although childrenswear was a new area to me, I found it incredibly enjoyable and brought sales up 38% beyond the company target they had brought me in to achieve, by changing the product placements and overall image to the department.

In 2013, I launched British Fashionista, a boutique and brand that's marketed on 'luxury celebrity fashion' and has a media angle so that not only are we putting what people wear into magazines but also selling what else is seen in there and currently on trend.

2014 saw my brand featured in a mainstream ITV2 advert and reality show, as well as in printed media through the next few years.  I closed the business due to lack of time but thoroughly enjoyed the exposure and incredible clients it brought me.

In 2016, I focused solely on corporate visual merchandising and was a senior merchandiser for Nutmeg clothing, within the Morrisons stores, designing and creating the current store experience that is still present today in 2021.  My installs can be seen across UK stores and Gibraltar.

I stayed in corporate merchandising until 2017, when I moved more towards marketing and PR, which is where I now hold my main focus.

Outside of work, I love to just enjoy life, travel and experience all the different aspects of culture that my travels take me on!
